Welcome to Tradventures!

A good friend of mine recently said, you should combine your love of traveling, and writing to scratch that creative itch you've got.  And I couldn't agree more. (thanks for the nudge Retta!)

I traveled all over the world when I was a correspondent in television. I've been to Israel, West Africa, and *gasp* Canada just to name a few! Plus just about every state in the union. (The United States for those who don't speak history.) And if you saw my waistline, you'd know that I've had my fair share of food and drink!  This doesn't make me an expert by any means...just someone who enjoys even life's smallest adventures...like a good beer, or great concert ;)

The bottom line is,  I love trying new things.  I don't mean eating boiled eyeballs, or jumping off buildings.  Although a nicely minced eyeball does sound appealing....

I mean more realistic adventures. Things the average person might want to check out, and would like an honest, fun(ny?) opinion on it. I might visit a restaurant I've driven by a million times, or see a show at the Ahmanson Theatre in Downtown L.A., or even shop at a new store. I, like most women, have opinions on everything...almost immediately.  So I thought I would create my own personal Yelp/AOL Travel/Citysearch.

Most Tradventures will be new, or I might reflect on a previous experience that I think you might find helpful. Eh, it's my blog. So I can pretty much do whatever I want, right? Yep. (P.S. I will answer my own questions and thoughts from time-to-time.)  And if you've been there too let me know!  It's not totally a one-sided blog. Well, it is in that I can delete your comments if you're nasty (Like Miss Jackson). But let's hope it doesn't get to that.

Word.

This blog will probably be evolving as I try to figure out exactly what it is I'm doing here.  And you get to join me for the ride! (which hopefully wont fizzle out in 2 months)

You don't have to agree with what I write.  It's just my opinions. But once you get to know me, you'll know that I am never wrong. (right honey?)  And eventually you'll find yourself saying, what is Tradventures saying about this? Has she visited the Louvre? Did she go to the last Weezer concert?  What does she think about that bar by my house?  Message me and I'll tell you!

First stop, Power 106 Cali Christmas. Ice Cube in the hizzie!

This could be fun.  Let the itch-scratching begin ;)

Happy Tradventuring!!
